Not sure about the cashless thing.........
Despite Friday night being rain shortened, Dave and the team killed it both nights. We were pleased with the venue, although we wish Alpine Valley would play Northerly Island for a myriad of reasons.
My only real complaint is the shift towards becoming a cashless venue. Cash transactions are certainly MUCH faster as one can give the money to the vendor and move on versus having to wait for the person to punch everything in. I sure wish cash was an option after this weekend, even though on paper the idea does make sense. There were several trips where the card reader never worked, on top of that. On top of that, I watched the bartender swipe my card 13 times before she finally became so ticked off she told me to take my beers and move on saying "I don't care." Apple Pay never worked either, then hand you the device so you can apply a tip and then handing it back. First world problems I know, but given how much a person pays for a ticket to the show, I want to maximize my time in the stands and minimize my time standing in line to get food for a drink.
